Theodosius I, 379-395. Tremissis (Gold, 14 mm, 1.40 g, 6 h), Treveri, 389-391. D N THEODO-SIVS P F AVG Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Theodosius to right. Rev. VICTORIA AVGVSTORVM / T - R / CON Victory advancing left, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond in her left. Depeyrot 53/5. RIC 103. Very rare. Lustrous and fresh. Slightly clipped and with very light doubling on the obverse, otherwise, virtually as struck.

From a Bavarian collection of late Roman gold coins, formed in the early 2000s.
